Roles and Responsibility
Stacey Yin is a Senior Director Analyst in Gartner Research based in Gartner's Tokyo office. She is part of the Compute Devices research team within the Emerging Technologies and Trends group and leads research in the areas of Sensor Fusion, Synthetic sensors, AI sensing, Intelligent Simulation, Digital Twin, battery management, battery circulatory, energy storage technologies, smart materials, power and analog semiconductors, and nonoptical sensor (biosensors, inertial sensors, environmental sensors, MEMS microphones, Magnetic sensors, and fingerprint sensors).Besides tracking the emerging technology trends through patent and competitive landscape analysis and market forecasting and market share analysis, Stacey Yin advises product leaders and strategic planners in technology service provider and end-user organizations on competitive positioning and differentiation, product roadmap development and go-to-market strategy for semiconductor and electronics markets.
Previous job experience
Before joining Gartner's Semiconductors & Electronics group, Stacey Yin worked as Corporate Marketing Manager in Onsemi, marketing multiple phase power controllers for PCs and ADAS applications to the Asia Pacific. And with Texas Instruments for seven years, dedicated to PMIC, Power IC, Embedded Processor, interface and audio solutions to key PC and industrial ODMs. Three years with Rohm Semiconductor and five years with World Peace Industrial Group for marketing Power solutions to PC ODMs. She has 17 years of sales and Marketing experience in the semiconductor and PC industry.
